SHAREMONKEY : I'm fixing a Perl program that accesses a db after getting form inputfrom a PHP page. If the server-side validation fails I'd like to reloadthe form with all the user's info still filled in. I could embed the entire page in the Perl program but it seems likethere must be a better way to go. Is there a way to get the info intothe Post environment variable and add code for the PHP page to read itfrom there? On first load of the page, check to see if the form has been submitted andif it hasn't create the values so that no errors are encountered:A horsie named william c demonstrated surprising intelligence and itsability to use morse code on Thu, 11 Sep 2003 15:36:11 -0500 when ittapped with its hoof:When the validation fails, save the POST data into a session variable and redirect to the form page. When the form page loads, put the saved post data into the form elements: SHAREMONKEY : validate.php:if (authfailed()) { $_SESSION['saved'] = $_POST; // Warning: The following assumes the session cookie // is available. header ("Location: "); exit();Ok, thinking out load here... Does this make sense? Currently this pageuses javascript to validate and after it validates, submits to the Perlprogram. Normally, when it validates on the client side it validates onthe server side, too. But it could fail if the Perl code strips out alot of evil characters (not that I care about making it convenient tore-enter in that case) or if the user has js turned off.If I move the data checking and cleansing out of the Perl and into a PHPfunction, since it's happening on the server, that should be as reliableas doing it in the cgi. Only after it gets past the PHP validationfunction do I submit it to the Perl. Then, the Perl should fail only ifthe insert into the db etc. fails, in which case I'm probably screwedanyway... SHAREMONKEY : I had a hard time getting OZ (it's a TV series)episodes too. Which reminds me... Jason and Mike could havedownloaded every single episode of The Sopranoswith 56k modems in the time that it has taken meto burn and package their CDs. I wonder how manymonths it'll take me to get my ass to the postoffice.--Bryan-------Please no e-mail with big words--------"garishly decorated mikoshi-like litter" -2belo"God Bless Sepponia" -Declan Murphy"what the fuck rhymes with Brett???????" -lorraine--------I had the same problems until I added "ShareMonkeySpeedup". Get a download started from one of these highspeed internet user friends and then click on the"Find more sources" button in ShareMonkey Speedup. You'll be glad you did."AVIPreview" "dat_view" and "sig2dat" can also be nice touchs to yourviewing/listening pleasure.Check out the following links when you're totallyfucking bored. The following have been keeping me busy over thepast few weeks.--Bryan"Apart from that I'm not worrying about anything other than the possibility of bottles of my homemade beer exploding before maturation" - Declan Murphy SHAREMONKEY : First let me say im using a kazaa lite ++ , and am using the sharemonkeyspeed up programme. Lately I have noticed that the find more sources doesntactually seem to work , it finds more sources but only sometimes and thenbad ones, I then noticed if you do a search and the file you are downloadingcomes up as a result kazaa adds this to the trafic window and the speedincreases. So the source is there it just didnt find it? any one else found this?consequently the only way to keep a decent speed is to turn on the autosearch more and leave it until the dowload completes.I agree that it doesn't seem to work.... better to use the speed up toolsthat come with K-lite...So u mean use speed up.exe instead of p track speed p 2.2 aplha?I like the P-track better as it is contained to kazaa.... the other oneaccesses the internet as a separate program ( my firewall warned me) andthat doesn't make me comfortable....Funny my firewall does not flag it up, (sygate personal firewall)In theoriginal mesaage it was p track i was acuusing of not working but I messedup and wrote speed up share monkey!.I am now using share monkey speed up and my download speeds are so muchhigher. SHAREMONKEY : What confuses me is why does kazaa also Have the options in the bottom leftcorner (kazap). Do u need these ticked for ptrack or sharemonkey to work oris this another way? . Why include 3 ways of doing 1 thing in the kazaa lite++ package?kazap and speed up are independant efforts to achieve the same thing iirc,i find speed up a bit more effective but both are goodtend to get in each others way though so don't have both on.Speed up is flagged by nortons personal firewall.... is yours configuredright?Might be worth checking this site out...........it is a site to check your firewall...One quick question do you run Xp if so then do the control alt delete thingyand look in processes TAB there you will find Speed up in there running itsmerry little dance in your system..........I ran both tests on this site and they both come through negative that is myfirewall bounced them back and There is NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER etc...
