BITTORRENT REDHAT : hmmm, I was able to download all 3 iso's in less than 6 hours. I set it upbefore I went to bed last night. The speed looked really slow and wassaying it would be like 48 hours, but I decided to let it go overnight.When I got up in the morning it was all downloaded. Installed RH9 thismorning from the disks and all went well. Somehow I think it might pick upspeed as it goes on. It will help no one to get on the internet unless they have a router which is the typical term for a layer 3 "switch". BITTORRENT REDHAT : IP (as in TCP/IP) operates at Layer3Ethernet operates at layer2.A router would need to also have NAT capability in order to act as the gateway between most people's private-IP ranges (10. & 172.0-16. & 192.168.) and the internet. A switch alone will not allow a user to access the internet via something like a Cable/DSL modem (typically a bridge, but sometimes also a router of sorts).Yes - it's a confusing mess... I usually stick to never recommending someone to buy hardware without knowing their present setup and then fully explaining the hardware they need....I had very good experience with bittorrent. I downloaded all three isos in12 hours. But, that was on 31st March. Then very few isos were floatingaround. I am sure I'll get much better download speed now. I kept one portopen for upload.
